This election is all about illegal overnight rentals, beach chairs and peace...
The current Board (Andres Lizerralde, Lynn Nunes, and more recently Carlos Hernandez) has run the Roney as a condo-hotel. The lack of a violations committee and any real repercussions for those who rented for less than 30 days has facilitated unmitigated Airbnb access. This has led the hotel to take action by refusal to subsidize guest chairs until the Roney takes illegal overnight guests seriously. The beach chairs pricing for guests at $50 apiece is just one example where this Board's negligence has hurt the entire community.
