The kickoff party to celebrate the culmination of a years-long pool and reconstruction project had record attendance, even amidst very cold temperatures. This day was a long time coming, and we are grateful to SLMA and Pedro Ripoll for shepherding this massive undertaking. It was great to meet so many neighbors at the event. Two of our Roney board members were there, while the third wanted to be but was unfortunately under the weather.

The day of the actual pool opening, Saturday, Jan. 25th, brought bright sun, warm temperatures, and a packed house by lunchtime. The pool looked beautiful. It was so great to see and even better to be back.

Since my family and I moved to the Roney in 2019, it has been under construction and so I was mostly content to bury my head in the sand. Now that all that work is behind us and we can finally begin to enjoy the fruit of our investments, I am laser-focused on ensuring that the Roney Palace functions as a good neighbor and does everything in its power to enforce its 30-day minimum rental policy. In this regard, there is much work to be done—see just how much by visiting our new website…

Here, you will find the status of efforts to pressure the board to enforce our rules and regulations, find out who is suing the association for free guest cards, and get regular updates on everything you need to know to make informed decisions come Board election day in June 2025.

The Roney Palace is an oasis made even better by our strong community. Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns. I look forward to engaging with you all. I spend most mornings at PlntHouse, but after that, you will find me at the pool!

All the best,

Jill
